The Geological Curators Group is currently structured as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation. The conversion process was initiated in 2020 but due to the global COVID-19 pandemic completion of the registration did not happen until 2022.

For a short while we are permitted to run the old and new charities alongside each other to allow systems to be changed over. Once this process is complete the old charity will be dissolved. 

Prior to 2022, the Geological Curators' Group was structured as an unincorporated assocation registed with the Charity Commission. To take advantage of the newer, more robust CIO structure, a restructuring process was begun in 2020. The old charity will be dissolved in due course.
